Guidance Needed: Claiming ServiceNow SPM Training as PMP PDU Credits

Hi everyone! I'm beginning my PMP recertification process and need to earn 60 PDUs within my three-year renewal cycle. Recently, I completed comprehensive training in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and I'm investigating whether this qualifies for PDU credits.

From my understanding, PMI allows self-directed learning to count toward PDU requirements, but I want to ensure that vendor-specific platform training meets PMI's criteria. Specifically, I'm looking for guidance on:

1. How to determine if ServiceNow SPM training aligns with the PMI Talent Triangle (Ways of Working, Power Skills, or Business Acumen)

2. The process for submitting vendor-specific training through the CCRS system

3. Any experiences others have had claiming platform-specific certifications as PDUs

Has anyone successfully navigated this process with technical platform training? Any insights would be very helpful!

could you possibly explain what's PDU, PMP, PMI, and CCRS? :))) Are these abbreviations related to ServiceNow or what it is???

Hi! These abbreviations are not related to ServiceNow, but to the PMP certificate (Project Management Professional) from PMI (Project Management Institute). PDU (Professional Development Units) are kind of scoring points to earn for PMP recertification every 3 year...

Too many abbreviations... 😉
