I started my career in ServiceNow in 2024 and completed my CSA certification in December 2024. At that time, the process was different—after completing the course, there was an option to claim a voucher at the end, which could be used to take the exam.
However, based on my understanding, there have been significant changes to this process. The voucher system is no longer commonly available in the same way.
As of now:
- Individuals can still access and learn the course content for free through the platform.
- However, to get certified, individuals are required to pay for the exam directly (typically via credit card).
- For college students, if their institution has a partnership with ServiceNow, they may be eligible to take the exam for free through their college.
- For professionals working in companies, exam attempts may be covered using learning credits or offered at a discounted rate (such as 50%), depending on the organization’s partnership with ServiceNow.
This reflects the current situation as of 2026 based on my experience.
I’m sharing this here to confirm if others have observed the same changes, or if there are any alternative ways currently available to obtain exam vouchers.
