Hi All,
1. I have my CSA valid, did one delta exam.
How many delta exams do I have to do to maintain my CSA?
Do I need to complete delta after every release (every six months) or just one update a year?
Also, do I need to pay every time? If yes, how much does it cost for partner organizations?
2. I am about to obtain my CIS ITSM soon.
Will first delta be free as for CSA?
And going forward, does that mean that I will need to do delta every six months?
What would be the price for partner organizations?
3. In case I obtain my CAD, will the same apply as for CSA and CIS? And what is the price of CAD delta for partner organizations
4. Scenario: I have CSA, CAD and CIS - does this mean I have to do 6 deltas in a single year and pay for all 6 deltas?
I am trying to map costs me or my organization will need to set aside for maintaining certification.
Thank you for your guidance, Bojana

Hi @BojanaZ
1. I have my CSA valid, did one delta exam.
How many delta exams do I have to do to maintain my CSA?
For each mainline you need to clear the delta to maintain that certification alive.
Do I need to complete delta after every release (every six months) or just one update a year?
Also, do I need to pay every time? If yes, how much does it cost for partner organizations?
Atul: It depends, like there is no delta for D.C release but for Xanadu release there will be delta.
2. I am about to obtain my CIS ITSM soon.
Will first delta be free as for CSA?
Atul: All delta's exam are free of cost and kind of open book.
And going forward, does that mean that I will need to do delta every six months?
What would be the price for partner organizations?
3. In case I obtain my CAD, will the same apply as for CSA and CIS? And what is the price of CAD delta for partner organizations
Atul: All delta's exam are free of cost and kind of open book.
4. Scenario: I have CSA, CAD and CIS - does this mean I have to do 6 deltas in a single year and pay for all 6 deltas?
Atul: 3 delta only .

Hi @BojanaZ
Thanks for appreciation.
To maintain these exam the cost is $200 , irrespective of mainline you hold. So it will be like
either you have Only CSA or you have CSA+ CIS+ CAD , you need to pay $200 only.
Understanding the Financial Commitment
An annual fee of $200, or $100 for ServiceNow Partner organizations, is due during the delta exam period. This applies to those holding a mainline certification for a year or longer, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and upskilling.

Hi @BojanaZ,
You can take up to four attempts before having to take the full mainline exam all over. Only mainline certifications will require a delta exam. For example Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM), Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Thank you, please make helpful if you accept the solution.
