How to enable widget to follow the dashboard filter

I am working through the Performance Analytics Micro Certification. Following the instructions, I have added three breakdown sources to a dashboard. The instructions were to practice filtering, by those three, which didn't work. So the next instructions were to enable the widget to follow the dashboard filter, but I don't see how to do that. I have searched for the answer, but have not found an answer that makes sense or that I can follow. For example, I read instructions that said to select the Edit Widget icon () and then select Follow Interactive Filter. But when I click on the icon, this is what I get:

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @louiserp ,

On your Interactive Filter, please make sure you have created a record in "Interactive Filter References" table (sys_ui_hp_reference).

You need to mention the reference table & field where the filter needs to match the value.

Once that is configured correctly, the widgets automatically follow the interactive filter.

If a performance analytics widget should follow a breakdown, then you need to go to the widget configuration and check mark the "follow element".

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I don't have the "Option" or the "Settings" button to edit the "Widget" I cannot a way to get to the "Edit Widget" like the one in the screenshot you posted. Any ideas?
