I completed all the courseware for the ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) exam but couldn’t schedule my exam until January 20 due to limited testing center availability. This happens to be about a week after the new exam release tied to the latest platform update.
I’m now in a bit of a dilemma: How do I effectively study the material I’ve already learned while preparing for potential changes in the updated exam?
- Should I focus on the current courseware and hope it covers most of the new exam content?
- Are there specific resources or strategies you'd recommend for bridging the gap between old and new platform updates?
- Is it as simple as studying the Xanadu release notes and adjusting to how those changes are applied in the platform?
- How do you approach studying in situations like this where the content might shift?
I’d really appreciate any insights or tips you all have. Thanks in advance for your help!

- Are there specific resources or strategies you'd recommend for bridging the gap between old and new platform updates? RP-check release notes for fundamental section, no need to go through other module which are not subjected to CSA.
- Is it as simple as studying the Xanadu release notes and adjusting to how those changes are applied in the platform? RP- Release notes are enough.
- How do you approach studying in situations like this where the content might shift? RP- Focus on fundamental only 15-20% question come from new release.

I recently cleared the CSA Exam. Not an easy one. I would recommend practice exams from P2PCerts. which has new updated exam questions. In fact to my surprise it was of a great help. I got nearly 85% from these tests on my main exam. Always make sure to go through the explanations to understand the core concepts. They also provided exam notes which is a great add-on for last minute reference. I passed . It took me just 4 weeks to prepare and I spent most of the time on these practice tests and going to explanations to understanding them
