Hi there,
On which side are you, asking the questions, or answering them?
If someone would ask me Service Portal in an interview, I would ask back: Why not Employee Center? which is the first goto nowadays for ServiceNow 🙂
If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.
Kind regards,
Mark

If the answers were readily available, it would hinder our depth of understanding.
As much as I would like to help you, I also feel you will be better off trying to find the answers on your own.
I really hate sounding like a professor 🙂
