need some solution regarding Performance Analytics

Hello Everyone,

So I'm creating reports and dashboard using Performance Analytics (PA). In one of the dashboard I need a filter. So when I "add element" we have Filter option where we have "Date" to get data for specific date range. 

So RN, i need that filter to be a variable value. Consider we have Category field on incident table where we have hardware, software etc. So If I choose hardware then data from hardware should only be made visible. I want a variable field to act as a filter. Not just predefined field but also user defined field.

I tried doing it but nada.

If you are using PA, you should have the category included as breakdown in the indicators. If you do, you can just add that as filter on your dashboards.

But be advised that everything will be replaced by Platform Analytics with the Zurich release (or Australia, if you skip Zurich). You may want to start creating your dashboards through Platform Analytics.

I'm failing to fetch that value through indicator & breakdown. Can you guide me on this?

What do you mean with 'failing to fetch'? If you have the breakdowns in place and the jobs are collecting the data including the breakdowns, they should be collected.
