New instances not having saved work from previous instances

I am attending the online training for ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals (Xanadu) and couldn't follow for 2 days.
When I went back to the training I had to open a new instance but nothing has been saved from the previous modules. I am now at Lab 7.1.1
Do I need the previous information?

Hi @stuarthinsh
Yes, that’s the expected behavior. If you lose your lab instance and take a new one, the old work will not be carried over.
