Requesting Guidance on CAD Exam Result Clarification and Escalation Process

Dear ServiceNow Community,

I recently completed the Certified Application Developer (CAD) examination and received a result marked as "Non-Passing." However, based on the section-wise performance breakdown provided, I estimated a total of approximately 46 correct answers out of 60, which would represent a score of around 76.66%.

I am fully aware that section-level percentages are not averaged to determine the final result. As outlined in ServiceNow’s official documentation, the scoring is calculated by dividing the total number of correct responses by the total number of scored questions. Therefore, my estimation was based on the number of questions per section and the respective percentages.

I attempted to seek clarification by contacting the Certification Support via the provided email addresses, but received only auto-responses redirecting me to the Help Center. Unfortunately, the Help Center does not appear to offer a specific path to raise concerns or requests related to exam result reviews.

I would greatly appreciate guidance on the following:

  • Is there a formal process to request a manual score review or clarification regarding the CAD exam result?

  • How can I escalate this issue appropriately within the Now Learning or Certification support structure, given the limitations encountered in the Help Center?

Any assistance or direction from community moderators or certified professionals would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,
A CAD Candidate

Hi @DhineshH

I would greatly appreciate guidance on the following:

  • Is there a formal process to request a manual score review or clarification regarding the CAD exam result?

Atul: No mate, i doubt there is any formal way to get these kind of clarification.

  • How can I escalate this issue appropriately within the Now Learning or Certification support structure, given the limitations encountered in the Help Center?

Atul:There is no escalation matrix available. You can simply ask for an update within the case, and the team will guide you accordingly.

Hello, Same here.  Just found out that we have to pass every sections at least 70%.  How is your scores per section? it should be delievered via email. Seems like it doesn't matter how well you are overall, if only one section is less than 70%, that means it's failed.

Hi @Akhyerkye ,

You may be correct and this may be the case but no body is actually aware how they are calculating the result. No where it is documented and as per examm rule, no details will be provided about result oly pass or fail will be generated after submitting the exam.

Nikhil Bajaj
