ServiceNow Certifications validity

Hi Guys,

Heard that we need to appear for the ServiceNow certifications again for every 2 years.

Looking for the information if we have any validity of the certifications done.

May be ServiceNow is coming up with that plan. Please share your thoughts.

Hi Jaipal,

To my understanding and knowledge, there is no validity stated for any ServiceNow certification. They should be valid for a long time (probably forever), unless ServiceNow issues an notice or circular to update them.

Reason being (based upon my understanding), the whole certification program is based on the foundation of ServiceNow platform and how it is managed and administered. That remains the same no matter how many releases we have with ServiceNow.

The features and functionalities might add from one release to another, but that does not change the basic foundation and layout of the platform.

There were lots of rumors going around at K17 regarding changes to the cert program, but (as far as I know) nothing has been published.

My recommendation is always to get more certs, so I would take the current certification offerings as they are today. That way, if changes do come, you can have the old and the new versions.
