Hi All,

I am trying to setup connection within servicenow*MS teams for request based chat for that I have installed pluggins and all as mentioned on docs

https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/zurich-employee-service-management/page/product/sn-teams/conc...

In the docuemnt it is mentioned to have admin and external role based user account ,

I am bit confuse do I need to create a account in servicenow and then ask Azure team to give permission or create the account on AD it self and then have the role?

If anyone can guide it will be helpful.

You need to create or use an existing user account in Azure AD,  because the authorization and app consent process happens on Microsoft's side (Azure AD, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

The account must have the following roles in Azure Active Directory:

  1. Application Administrator
This role allows the user to consent to delegated permissions and manage app registrations (which is necessary for authorizing the Teams app).

  2. External App Install Admin (specific to ServiceNow)
This is often referring to the role in ServiceNow, not Azure. You’ll assign this role in ServiceNow to the user after they’re created in Azure and added to ServiceNow.
