Software Model Edition/Version Condition

We are using SAM Pro and have noticed a discrepancy between the Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) installation and the official ServiceNow documentation. We’re hoping some of you might have insights on this.

In the Software Model fields on ServiceNow (cmdb_software_product_model), the documentation states that there are three standard choices available for both Edition Condition and Version Condition. You can refer to the screenshot in "Documentation Version_Edition.jpg" or the provided link.

However, in our OOTB installation, we see a fourth option: "Is Empty".

You can see this additional choice in the screenshots:

  • "Software Model Version Condition Choices Sequence OOTB"
  • "Form Builder Version Condition Options OOTB"

We’d like to clarify:

  1. Is "Is Empty" an actual OOTB option, meaning the documentation is outdated or incorrect?
  2. Or has a non-OOTB choice been unintentionally added to our installation?

Any insights or confirmations would be greatly appreciated!
