I am having a great deal of trouble completing Task 09: Remediate Duplicates on the configuring the CMDB. After completing it incorrectly, there is not anyway to go back and complete it again because there is a server record missing. Is it possible to rest the task without resetting the entire simulator and can someone please provide some suggestions on what I need to complete. I am very confused about the wording.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution to your question. If you've completed the de-duplication process and made an error, the only workaround for "resetting" the task is to:
1. Close your instance and select the "Terminate" your instance link.
2. Start a new instance.
3. Launch new instance by clicking "Open My Instance" link
4. Re-run the Task 01: Activate Health Dashboard to generate duplicate CI dashboard data.
5. Re-try instructions for Task 09.
*Note, i did not have to go through all the prior tasks to complete the remaining Tasks.

You can use Stef Kopczyk's workaround suggestion or your can "reset" the task getting a new instance altogether:
1. Close your instance and select the "Terminate" your instance link.
2. Start a new instance.
3. Launch new instance by clicking "Open My Instance" link
4. Re-run the Task 01 and Task 02.
5. Re-try instructions for Task 09.
*Note, i did not have to go through all the other prior tasks to complete the remaining Tasks.

Hi,
Going through this now in 2024 and both of the two Windows Servers have the same creation date so not sure how you are supposed to pick the older one
