Two ServiceNow Profiles - Corporate and Personal

For certifications, how to apply the personal profile certifications (CSA / CAD, etc..) to business profile pre-requisite course certifications?

I use two profiles in ServiceNow:

1. Official Profile
This profile is linked to my official/work email and connected to our partner account. Because of that, I can access free training and free certification exams. The benefit of using this profile is that if you move to a different organization, you can easily merge it with the new official ID.

2. Personal Profile
I use this one for community work, and it’s linked to my personal email. Since a personal ID is always accessible and doesn’t change often, it’s convenient for community activities. However, the downside is that with a personal ID, I have to pay for training, certifications, and annual maintenance costs since it isn’t linked to a partner account.

So, if you want to enjoy free training and free exams, use your official ID (as long as you’re working with a partner organization). In that case, both training and exams can be free for you (exam fees depend on your company’s agreement with ServiceNow).

Right now, all on-demand training is available for free, so if you only want to learn, you can use any ID. But if you plan to take exams for free, use your official ID.

Below are the steps for merging your accounts:

First, clear your browser cache in Google Chrome and restart.
2. After that, log in to your new Now Learning account using your credentials via this link: https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/.

3.Click on the profile icon (typically showing your initials) in the top-right corner of the Now Learning page and select Update My Profile.

4.Scroll down to the "Identity" section and click on either the Update ID or Merge Old ID link.
If you've created a new ServiceNow ID, click Merge Old ID.
If you have not created a new ServiceNow ID, click Update ID
5. Carefully review the considerations provided.
(If you're ready to proceed, click Yes to submit the merge request, or click No if you'd prefer to continue later)
6.Enter your alternate ServiceNow ID in the provided field and follow the on-screen verification instructions.
(Note: If you're unable to access your email, click the Show other verification options link.)

7.Click Verify. You should then see the "Email Verified" page.

8.Review, Confirm and authorize the merge request details.

9.Finally, click Submit to complete the process. Your merge request is now submitted.
Please note:
Save your request ID for any support or troubleshooting you may need during the process.
The Merge Old ID process may take up to 48 hours to complete, while the Update ID process takes about 4 hours.
Once the process is finalized, you'll receive a confirmation email.

Hi,
ServiceNow certifications and course completions are tied to the profile under which they were earned. Unfortunately, you cannot directly transfer personal profile certifications (like CSA or CAD) to a corporate/business profile. The best approach is to link your personal profile to your corporate email if possible, or reach out to ServiceNow support to see if they can merge or recognize your personal certifications for business prerequisites.

Using platforms like CertsMatrix can also help track your certification progress and ensure you meet all prerequisite requirements when preparing under different profiles.

This way, you can maintain visibility of your earned certifications while meeting corporate prerequisites efficiently.
