Hi all,
I have keenly observed that a lot of people usually hide or cover their ServiceNow certification numbers when sharing it on social media.
Is there any unique reason for this please?
Do you think it is necessary, considering the numerous future deltas that would invalidate the initial certification?
Kindly share your thoughts please.
Dan

They hide it to avoid certification privacy issues.
It's observed that there are lot of fake users who are reusing certificate ID from genuine certification holders.

Sachin

How does that affect the original certification holder?

Any fake certified users devalues the certification by corrupting its integrity. If consumers aren't savvy, they may take the certification at face value and not validate it is really tied to the original user. That means the original user has lost business.
It's certainly not the same type of privacy concern as sharing my social security number.

It doesn't.
ServiceNow has also provided a way to check if the certification is valid as well.

You can use my name to test it out
There is a catch. The user has to opt-in through the webassessor account.
