Information required on Health Scan

Hello Everyone,

I was going through the documentation related to Health Scan, which seems to be quite useful diagnostic tool to check the health of our instance. But am unable to find more information related to it apart from this article:

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-impact/page/product/impact/concept/healthscan.html

Could anyone help me with the information how to enable / execute it?

Thanks,

Prashant

You will need to reach out to ServiceNow for that. You can't run it by yourself. It's part of Impact. Their way of getting more money from there clients to put tiers on supporting the instance.

Health scan already exists for a long while and has been transformed into Instance scan. ServiceNow can deliver you nice overviews running health scan for you, but spending a bit of time on instance scan and create the things you think are important may save your company a lot of money by not getting Impact.

This is the scan Impact uses to assist you. On your instance the 'Instance scan' is available. It has a lot of OOB checks already.
You can check out (a lot of) articles from Mark Roethof on the topic: https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-blog/375-articles-blogs-videos-podcasts-share-project...

Hi Mark,

Thank you for reply!

I have checked the instance scan module which comes with OOB checks and we can create our own too.

But I am particularly curious about 'Health Scans'. Does they work with ServiceNow assistance only? Can't we schedule them on our own? And what script are being used to check the performance health.

Thanks,

Prashant
