is the certification free, or are there opportunities (such as vouchers, sponsorships, or special programs) to obtain it at no cost?

The CAD exam itself isn’t free — you’ll need to buy a voucher or use learning credits if your company provides them. Some partner companies do offer internal vouchers or reimbursements, so it’s worth checking that.

The good thing is the on-demand CAD training is free, so you can start learning without any cost.
