Typehead search widget not loading to customer contacts after upgrade to Vancouver

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to Vancouver Patch3 and since then the Typehead search widget is not loading for the customer contacts in CSM portal. It loads perfectly for rest of the users. 

 

It's a cloned widget and cloned from OOB Typehead search widget. 

It is already set as Public. 

CSM Landing page is restricted to enc_external and snc_internal roles

Customer contacts have snc_external role. 

 

Widget loads perfectly fine for the rest of the users. It's only when a customer contact logs, the Global Search widget is not loading.

Does your Customer contacts has "snc_external role"?

We've experienced the same issue for our Internal Service Portals that use the Typehead search widget.  Users who have backend platform roles can see the widget, but our internal users who don't have any roles are unable to see the widget since the upgrade to Vancouver.  They can view all other aspects of the portal pages - just not the search bar, which sounds very similar to the issue that you experienced.  Any help you can provide as to how you resolved this issue would be most welcomed.
