Upgrade failure Mid server: Unable to download updates from install server

Hi Community,

We recently upgraded from Jakarta to London. Mid server upgrade failed with below message

Aborting MID Server upgrade due to pre-upgrade check failure: Unable to download updates from install serve

MID Server currently has 1 unresolved issue(s). Please address issues located below within the MID Server Issues table.

Error Message

Reported MID Server version 'jakarta-05-03-2017__patch6a-12-01-2017_12-18-2017_1517' is not compatible with instance version 'london-06-27-2018__patch3-10-24-2018_11-11-2018_0542'. Upgrade is required. More Info

Please advise.

Looks like your firewall is not allowing incoming requests from IP addressees of install.service-now.com

Configure/contact your network operations team to allow the incoming traffic for the 2 IP addressees mentioned in the below website

Download the MID Server files

Aman, instead of opening the firewall port, can we just download the mid server file ( Mid Server > Downloads), move this file to designated mid server folder and run the installer to install a new fresh mid server for london release?

Absolutely YES.

-Uninstall the Existing Mid Server first

-Download the Mid Server file from ( Mid Server > Downloads)

-Re-Install the Mid Server again

This will do the trick.
