Whats the best practice around upgrading the store applications?

Are there any best practices around upgrading the store applications? Like upgrading them before the major upgrade or after the major upgrade or take it during the upgrade project?

Hi there,

Before or after could both work. Definetly not at the same time of the upgrade! Does sound tempting to do, though this makes an upgrade unnecessarily bigger (and for some companies, this is already a huge struggle).

Also some store applications are hardly updated, or some every month. So I guess you would like to update those already, separately from your family upgrade.

Hello, I also have that same question to know what the good practice would be.

But, even though I agree this could make the upgrade a bit bigger, I see the upgrade time as an opportunity to do this :

• So that you can actually benefit from new features when doing that upgrade
• To mutualize the necessary non-regression testing
• To actually have a time when you review your application versions (otherwise my assumption is that is never done and applications are only upgraded when the reach the minimal version for the platform upgrade)

Curious to know how/when people actually do that (if they do).

I receive an email when the new updates for all applications are ready.  I then upgrade during my next sprint.
