I would like to understand the challenges encountered in Xanadu patch 7 upgrade and how we mitigated them. Please share on below:

Each customer might face different challenges during the upgrade based on the customizations they have done in instance and the instance properties.

I don't think any customer will share those on this forum.
It's better you upgrade and if any issues faced check the release notes and if something is not working as expected which is OOTB then raise a case with ServiceNow.

I agree with @Ankur Bawiskar That is completely different from customer to customer. For example, in our case, we moved to Yokohama from Xanadu and didn't encounter any issues. It also depends on which product a customer is using; it might be that you're not using the same one. So, it's better to take a look at the release notes.
