Banner (Ellucian ERP) Self services via Service Now Portal

Greetings all,

we are interested to know  whether anyone has done  work on providing  Banner (Ellucian ERP for Higher Ed)   self  services  thru ServiceNow portal (as oppose to Ellucian Luminis Portal).  we are also interested in hearing the integration approach on this.  We are now on Service Now  Kingston version.

We developed a custom widget that does some general person record creation and updates via web service calls on the MID server.  After this gets fully vetted there won't be much left holding the ERP group from upgrading to v9.

Thanks to both of you for your posts on this thread. We're also looking at integrating ServiceNow (also on Kingston) with Banner, and are very interested in hearing of others' experience in using ServiceNow for Self-Service Banner.

doin' a bit of grave-diggin' resurrecting this thread...but we integrate ServiceNow with Ellucian Banner via scheduled data export to a MID server (consumed via camel script) and periodic data import via jdbc. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of information about the banner-side of things (I'm the S-Now guy)...but I believe we use an extensive amount of custom tables in Banner 9. If you had any specific questions, I could probably get some answers!

We have banner 8, we are moving to the banner 9 version and we are calling banner 8 self-services from the servicenow portal. We used cas to do sso but we had to call the servicenow portal from a luminos page. With banner 9 through ethos you will call the servicenow portal directly and do sso with the banner self-services.
