Service Portfolio Management and Taxonomy (nodes or otherwise!)

Hi all,

Has anyone tackled setting up SPM and its taxonomy? Nodes, layers... etc.

Be interested to hear and chat more, been looking at it and not going anywhere fast, am trying to understand the implications, consequences, benefits etc. down the track. Have been through the documentation, but would really appreciate hearing about some lived experiences. Thanks in advance folks.

Hi Debs. Have you looked at the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)? It is a good place to develop a taxonomy. Keep us posted on your progress. SPM is an interest of mine.

Yup, been through it, oh so many times, you know how it is (read, re-read, read again, then re-read it again later).

Was lucky enough to meet and talk with Mark Bodman, a year or two ago, about CSDM.

Have you configured SPM in your instance of SN there?
