Add (empty) value/selection to reference field

Hello,

Is it possible to add an empty value to a reference field to select for a filter? This is what I have (in PDI):

I would like to add an (empty) selection to include in the selection. Is this possible?

Filters are meant to drill down. You show everything and from everything you take a certain value to add to the query of what you want to show. It will show you the possible options that are on a certain (reference)field. I know you can add a 'boolean' type filter to see if a field is filled, or not. Maybe add that as an extra filter? So that you can filter on filled and then your other values, or on empty. I don't think you can add it as filter option itself.
