Can we trigger on call trigger rule when the assignment group prepopulated???

Hi All,

Please guide me whether the below requirement achieve or not :

Can we setup two on call groups with the group members ( and we wont use these on-call groups in Assignment group field) and the groups members will be part of both assignment group and On-call groups. Can we use on-call trigger rule to trigger ?
