Changes to Update Sets with Clone Process

As we were reviewing documentation for the Zurich release, we noted the following highlights related to the Clone Admin Console:

• Configure the update set preservation up to 12 minutes before the clone executes.

• Preserve your in-progress update sets, regardless of when the scope was created in the specified time frame.

Does this eliminate the need for developers to back out their update sets/code when cloning? If this is the case, what configuration steps are required to enable update set preservation in the Clone Admin Console? Are there any limitations or exclusions (e.g., specific tables or data types) that are not preserved even with this feature enabled?
