Documenting Monthly Business processes

My team has monthly tasks for certain applications. I want to see if there is a way to generate a task for each month or quarter. That can also be tied to CI. I want to run a report by CI (business application) to see what monthly tasks go into maintaining this application. I found a business process, but I do not see a way to create an action item from that.  

We also do not own APM.

I guess you could create a Scheduled Job for this that would run every month/quarter and generate the specified tasks? Happy to write a script template for you if you can provide more details.
