Hide OOTB UI Action based on role

Hi,

I have to hide OOTB UI Action button - close on Change form based on roles - xxxyyzz. Only users with role - xxxyyzz should be able to see, ui action button - close.

I override the ui action with the same name and action name and add role in "roles" section/tab and made inactive the OOTB UI action button and now everything is working as expected.

Now my doubt is after the system upgrade(for ex. going from Washington to Vancouver), will my changes will reflect the same AND any issue will happen like skip records or anything, as I have inactivate the OOTB ui action button ?

In case if yes, issues will happen, then what to do?

Thanks in Advance!

@Gaurav_S0107 Since you made changes to the OOTB UI Action by marking it as inactive, it will still be skipped from the upgrade. However, it will be a lot easier for you to update it to the latest version as you have not made any changes in the OOTB UI Action (except changing the active flag). You can always fix skipped records by merging them with the latest changes from the Upgrade center.

Hope this answers your question.

I hope one skip item will be created for it and later on you can accept this Skip item.
