Present survey when user requests handover in Virtual Agent

I am struggling to find the right information and most of which I have already found is either vague or dated.

 

I want a survey to be presented within the Virtual Agent when a user requests to speak to a live agent. I have tried configuring a prechat survey with simple conditions, creating a survey trigger, and adding a survey topic block in the flow with no success. I am either missing something that is undocumented, or am misunderstanding the feature.

 

Grateful if anyone can shed any light.
