"Relevant For you" Widget not showing data

Hi i have created my own custom taxonomy after add it in the portal the "Relevant for you" widget stop working ,how to sort it out? But if i use OOB Taxonomy then "Relevant for you " widget is working please help me out

The Relevant for you widget works out of the box only with the OOB taxonomy because it already has all the required configurations like audience mapping, user criteria, and content relationships.

When you create a custom taxonomy, these mappings are not created automatically. Because of this, the widget does not have enough data to calculate relevance and ends up showing nothing.

To make it work with a custom taxonomy, please check the following:

  • Make sure your custom taxonomy categories are mapped to Audiences and User Criteria
  • Verify that the logged-in user matches those audiences
  • Ensure catalog items or KB articles are explicitly tagged to the custom taxonomy categories
  • Confirm the custom taxonomy and categories are active
  • If AI Search is enabled, ensure the taxonomy is included in search indexing and relevance profiles

As a quick test, copy the same audience and user criteria from an OOB taxonomy category and apply it to your custom taxonomy category, then tag one item to it. If the widget starts working, the issue is missing audience or content mapping.
