ServiceNow - Amazon Connect Integration - User Recognization from Phone Number

Hello,

 

I managed to integrate ServiceNow with Amazon Connect successfully. However, there is one point where I need help.

 

On our user table (sys_user) we store mobile phone numbers in the following format : +country code 111000222. There is space between country code and phone number. What I realised that, due to this space on the phone number, ServiceNow is unable to recognise the caller and  can't populate "Requested_For" field. When space is removed, ServiceNow is able to recognise the caller.

 

I was asked to come up with solution to remove space between country code and phone number. How can I achieve this? Do I need to create business rule / client script to remove the space? I am also a bit reluctant to touch the existing out of box mobile phone number field as modification could mess up with MFA for example. 

 

Any suggestions here?
