When opening a service request from VA in teams, how can I get the contact type to be "virtual agent

Most of our service catalog items are custom and can't be conversational so any request from VA opens a RITM with contact type "self-servce" but I need to be able to track which ones have been opened from VA. 

 

I set 'glide.sc.va.render_type.legacy'  to false so it opens the VA version of the form https://xxxxxx.service-now.com/now/virtual-agent/content/catalog/78948e9f87a879104820cb77cebb35be/36...

but still it sets contact type to "self-service". Any help would be appreciated.
