Virtual Agent Shorten responses

Hi everyone,

I'm working with ServiceNow Virtual Agent and noticed that the "Shorten responses" option is enabled by default on all Text Response nodes. This causes long messages to be truncated with a "Show more" link in the client — which is not ideal for our use case.

I'd like to know:

  1. Is there a global system property, client configuration, or renderer setting that controls the default behavior of this feature?

  2. Can this be disabled globally (without editing each node manually)?

That's a terrible default 😕

I've not done much VA development lately so I've not noticed this personally, but I'm subscribing to see if anybody has an answer.

I dont believe there is global property to change this , even in documentation they are telling it to turn off , incase it is not needed. But i suppose that has to  be done on each text node only.

Yeah but this is terrible experience.

A tool should not introduce any feature as default in already existing records.

It should be defaulted in new implementations.
