Automate banner announcement

Hi guys,

I was playing around ux banner and i think it's super cool.

Got a lot of scenarios that could be useful.

But i was wondering if there is a way to make a workflow/flow for lets say P1 incidents or outage etc to specific users / itil agents etc.

Did you do any progress on this?

I would suggest maybe a Business Rule to trigger a flow, I would suggest adding an approval step so stakeholder or incident managers could approve the announcement creation, just in case someone creates a P1 for a broken mouse.  
The logic would be something like this:

Incident created, any priority (or created as P1) 
Priority is raised to P1

Business Rule triggers flow with a pre-defined template to add the announcement as banner, some variables will come from Incident, like Configuration Item, start time and summary of the issue, from Short Description (maybe?).

Once approved by stakeholders or incident manager, the announcement is created. 
You could also enhance this a little bit further with the System Status page, which has a good enhanced version in the Share portal.

You really shouldn't need the Business Rule at all. 

In flow designer you can set the trigger to match the conditions in which you want the banner announcement to be generated.
