Issue associating Credentials with Connection Alias for MID Server API Integration

I am currently configuring an API integration (HTTP) from ServiceNow to a server in a private network (Server A) via a MID Server.
While setting up the "Connection & Credential Alias," I have encountered an issue where the created Credential cannot be properly selected or associated within the HTTP Connection record.

[Goal]

Establish an HTTP connection to Server A via a MID Server.
Secure the API Key by using ServiceNow’s Credential management to keep it hidden from users.
[Current Configuration]

sys_alias: alias_A (Type: Connection and Credential / HTTP)
api_key_credentials: credential_B (Applies to all MID Servers)
http_connection: connection_C (Use MID Server: true / Specific MID Server selected)
[Issue]
I am unable to associate the alias and credential correctly in the HTTP Connection settings.
Specifically, the "Credential alias" field on the api_key_credentials record is currently empty. Could you please provide the correct procedure to link these components to ensure the MID Server can successfully use the credential for this alias?
