Asterisk indicator on Tabs

When looking at a tab on a form, there is an asterisk indicator showing that there is a required field on that tab. Our customer wants to know if we can apply the same principle to the Related Lists tabs below, so they can have an indicator of required or incomplete tasks for the current state of the record. Is this possible?

Form Section is something where we can arrange the fields . So Asterisk indicator is quite justifiable that if a section having mandatory field which need value to be input.

whereas Related lists in Servicenow are UI elements at the bottom of forms that display records from other tables with a relationship to the current record.

So if current record is not having associated record to other table , it will show nothing. here no Mandatory concept is there. so why asterisk indicator is needed?

Please validate your requirement as your requirement is not making any sense to me.

We do have mandatory concepts here, as we have configured various items to require certain tasks be completed prior to the stage of the item being updated. For example, we have a Peer Testing task and a Peer Testing state for our stories. In order for our stories to progress to the next state the Peer Testing task must be completed, otherwise any attempt to force a state is considered an invalid update.
