Auto add participants to Sidebar discussion if mentioned in the discussion

Hi

I have been trying to explore functionality around sidebar discussion. I want to understand is it OOB feature if a user is mentioned in the sidebar discussion , will the user be automatically added to the participant. If yes, then i don't see that happening in my instance. If the feature is not OOB is there a way to achieve it.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi @Thack02 ,

You can create a Sidebar discussion as a standalone conversation or for a task-based or interaction record. Sidebar discussions can be created from a configurable workspace or a Next Experience Core UI record page.

Coming to your requirement, that doesn't happen OOTB, you can create a query though, refer to this thread:

I don't want to Pre-fill with query information.  But this seems to be customization. OOB is not present.

When Sidebar chats are opened (either from a record or standalone), by default the system does not auto-add participants. However, you may configure pre-filled lists if there are standard participants you'd like to add to the conversation.
