Improving ServiceNow Workspace performance for end users

akash_birada

Hi Team,

Several users have reported slow performance while working in ServiceNow Workspace. Page loading times are longer than expected and navigation occasionally becomes unresponsive.

What areas should I investigate regarding:

  • Client-side performance
  • Form customization impact
  • Scripts and integrations
  • Browser-related issues
  • Platform performance monitoring

Looking forward to your suggestions and best practices.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @akash_birada,

Whenever there is slowness in any UI pages like Native UI, Workspace UI, or Service Portal (Employee, Customer Service, ...), it is because of the whole instance, not just any one UI.

I would suggest things that you may want to try in your instance, like:

  1. Firstly, do cache.do this; this will help a little bit about relaxing the instance and releasing any unnecessary space-taking.
  2. Refresh your instance. Where you start building, from there you can refresh your instance.
  3. Inactivate (do not delete) unnecessary scripts, configurations, and backend running processes; this will allow the instance you work on to focus on your current activities rather than the execution time on things that don't require being executed.
  4. Upgrade to latest instance (currently Australia), as new upgrades bring many changes that may help you for fast processing.

Try these options, because they are very basic and don't require anything more than just upgrades, but they can create a big impact on your instance performance.

Let me know if this helps you.😉
