Contextual sidepanel in workspace for custom application

Hi Experts,

We created an agent workspace for a custom application and would like to have contextual sidepanel options for attachments on the record page. I tried out all the available community articles around this area, but unfortunately, nothing worked.

Requirement is to have attachment icon and be able to see the attachments.

Could you all provide your thoughts?

Hi @ap03

use the following video as a starting point and then copy the respective configurations from any of the existing workspaces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWp6TWkIf5w

This is a zoom call recording, based on a San Diego release. Sharing if someone can benefit from it :)

@Maik Skoddow : Thanks for your reply, I already tried it as per the below but it's not showing up.

It's not about the options in the contextual side panel but panel itself is not showing up in the workspace.

Hi,

I'd suggest you to create the page using record page template. If you have done a lot of configurations already on the page then you can look at some of the OOTB workspaces record pages and refer those to configure the side panel.

The best way to build a starter workspace is by using App Engine Studio.

@JagjeetSingh : Thanks for the suggestion. Will try this option. Could you help me if we can control the visibility of "Attachment" icon on contextual side panel based on the record value. (Ex: Category of Ticket if Software and should have write access on record etc...)

Thanks in Advance!
