so im trying to practice on portals and i created a new portal. the thing is, im using the index page for service portal but then im unable to add my tagline and the rest under quick setup. Question is, is it because im using the index page and i cant edit it until i clone it? or is there something else i can activate on the new portal i created to have that feature?

Hi @Coffeeaisha ,

You can clone the index page and you can use it for your new portal.

If you want to edit or add some widget on the page you can use below shortcut

mac book - control + right click you can multiple options like - instance option, open page definition, widget editor.

In windows - cntl + Right Click.

Yes, that’s exactly it—you can’t directly edit the standard Service Portal index page for a new portal. To customize elements like the tagline or Quick Setup content, you need to clone the index page for your portal; once cloned, it becomes editable and linked to your portal, allowing you to modify headers, taglines, and other widgets. Simply creating a new portal without cloning the index page won’t activate those editable features.
