there's no universal answer to this, it would be similar to asking "how should I maintain my car better?", we have never seen your app (car), we don't know what it does and what you want to improve...

if you want to make it faster it will depend on how it is configured as well as how the platform is governed in general, because the response may be affected by overall instance health and condition.

Sharing your app configuration could give you better answers but with such an asbtract scenario, nobody can help you.
