Hello Community,
I am working on a ServiceNow Service Portal use case where I need to implement the following flow:
User opens the Service Portal
Self-registration page should be displayed (new users register)
User sets a password and logs in
After login, the user is redirected to a custom Admission Form page
Submitted data is stored in a custom table
I have already created a User Registration Configuration record and linked it to the portal using the External user registration configuration field. However, when I open the portal, the self-registration page does not appear automatically.
I would like to understand:
Does adding a User Registration Configuration automatically display the self-registration page?
Is it mandatory to have a separate signup page with the Self Registration widget?
What is the correct way to make the portal open the self-registration or login page by default?
How can I restrict access to the admission form so only registered/logged-in users can access it?
Any guidance or best practices for implementing this flow would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
