Stop the PDI from redirecting to App Engine Studio

Dear all,

How to stop the PDI instance from redirecting to App Engine Studio. I prefer the old UI where we have the Application Navigator and we can toggle between different modules at wish.

Anish

Happy to inform that the upgrade fixed the issue.

Now I can change the user role (which is something I already knew) but was disabled.

But the upgrade fixed the issue without even having to change the user role. As I already mentioned, I was already logged in as a Admin user, it was a technical glitch that despite having admin role, the instance was redirecting to App Engine studio UI, which the upgrade fixed.

Sometimes the PDI behaves weird, guess may be some technical glitches.

I would like to clarify @Dr Atul G- LNG.

You mentioned - "No—if you’ve already started the upgrade, you cannot change the user. Otherwise, yes, you can."

which means if I had not started the upgrade, I could have switched the user roles, which is not the case and I responded.

What is my option left over here?

Reset/ Wipe the instance? That might fix the issue, BUT BEFORE THAT...

Once the upgrade is OVER, I should check if it is THEN POSSIBLE to switch the user roles.

If yes, I can skip resetting the instance,

OR ELSE

FINALLY RESET THE INSTANCE!

Hope I have clarified.

Regards,

Anish

Hi @Anish Reghu

  1. If no upgrade is in progress, changing the user is possible.

  2. If an upgrade is in progress, changing the user is not possible.

For case 2, you can wait until the upgrade is complete, then check again and change the user.

If it is still grayed out even after the upgrade is finished, resetting or releasing the instance is the only option.

Hi Atul,

Option 1 is true in a general scenario and I know that.

All I am trying to say is it is not applicable to my case here.

Anish

So there is no upgrade going on, and it’s still grayed out?

Also, as you mentioned, the Manage Instance option is grayed out as well, which indicates that some activity may still be running on the PDI but is not being correctly reflected here. My suggestion is to wait until today ends, check again tomorrow, and if it’s still grayed out, release the instance.

Buddy, can't explain it more.

The upgrade is on.

I will take care of it, once upgrade finishes.

Appreciate you engaging this long.

Anish
