UX Highlighted Value Not Working for Child Table Records

Hi Community,

I have created a custom table Task Manager (x_aukms_spa_task_manager), which extends the from custom table x_aukms_trans4mer_request_table table.

In my custom workspace, I am displaying records from the child table Task Manager (x_aukms_spa_task_manager) table.

I created a record in the sys_highlighted_value table for the Parent table  x_aukms_trans4mer_request_table.

However, on the list view of Task Manager (x_aukms_spa_task_manager) table in the Workspace, the configured highlighted value is not displayed. (Request Type field is not getting highlighted)

Since Task Manager (x_aukms_spa_task_manager) table extends  x_aukms_trans4mer_request_table table, I expected the UX Highlighted Value configuration created for the parent x_aukms_trans4mer_request_table table to be inherited and applied to the child table Task Manager (x_aukms_spa_task_manager) as well.

Could someone please help me understand:
Is there any additional configuration required to make the highlighted value work for extended/child tables?

Hi @KapileshS

Three things need doing here.

Highlighted values aren't inherited by extended tables, so build the Highlighted Value and its condition against x_aukms_spa_task_manager rather than the parent.

Your UX Highlighted Values Configurations related list is empty. Create a configuration record for your SPA Workspace and link the highlighted value to it, so the chain runs Configuration to Highlighted Value to Condition.

Then in UI Builder, set the list component's Highlighted Values property to that configuration record, and check Hide Highlighted Values is unticked on the UX List record. That last step is the one people usually miss.

Thanks
