Can the MID Server be installed on a Azure cloud server? I am not trying to manage the cloud, my customer wants all his servers in Azure.

Hello,
My customer wants to know if a ServiceNow MID Server can be installed on an Azure server in the cloud. If so what special configuration steps do I need to take to have it talk back to ServiceNow.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karen,
You will install the mid exactly the way you do ON-PREM. Please refer to link provided by Jamest but simple steps:
Login to SNOW from your Azure VM, under mid server application - > download installer
Unzip the installer and go to agent folder --> click on installer
One Java Interactive Dialog Box will popup --> Enter the details are required (there are 4/5 steps)
Once you are done starting services you should be able to validate the same from your instance.
One thing you might want to let your customer know that most of the cloud provider do charge to network traffic so if your VM is in cloud, then any traffic between Mid & SNOW will result in some $$ values (though it should be minimal) but its point to let customer know upfront.
Thanks, Aditya
