HI @Ketan Pandey

the maximum number of fields you can create on an table is 1,000. It's important to manage this limit carefully, as adding too many fields can impact system performance and complicate the database schema.

For custom tables, the number of tables you can create is generally governed by your subscription license type. Consult your ServiceNow account manager or licensing agreement for specific limitations.

Hi @Ketan Pandey ,

The ServiceNow Doc mentions that:

The system can only have a maximum of 1000 columns per table. Although 1000 columns is a specified limit, this limit doesn't mean you can physically have 1000 columns within a table. The number of columns within a table is defined by the database used in the ServiceNow datacenter, not by the Now Platform.

For custom table query pleaee check the below thread:

Also, check with your subscription model and Subscription management dashboard to get more insight and connect with the account rep to get the more in-depth details.

Hi there,

Similar question was asked two weeks ago:
https://www.servicenow.com/community/common-service-data-model-forum/maximum-number-of-fields-on-a-t...

One of the ServiceNow documents does mention a limit of 1,000 fields. Though to be honest... who needs 1,000 fields?! Then something extremely horrible went wrong if you end up with such a table...

What is more interesting:

Its not really about the number of maximum fields, its more the maximum row size. For example when adding too many multiline string fields. It is a ServiceNow best practice to not have more than 10 of those (is really a low number, though I have seen it go wrong at a customer having 50 of those, causing serious database corruption and ServiceNow Support needed).

Kind regards,
