Does using delegation impact licensing?

Hi,

Does allowing an user to specify a delegate consume additional licenses if the delegate does not have the same roles?

For example; if an itil user delegates an ess or scoped app user as his/her delegate. Would the ess or scoped app user be able to process approvals, etc. without consuming an additional fulfiller license?

Regards,

Cyndi

Hi,

No that will not included as an additional license. For quick check impersonate the approver who needs to approve something copy the link & then check the same with link with any other (User with no role).

Thanks,

As long as there is no "licensed role"added to the user, ServiceNow will not count it as an additional license.

The person that is delegated access should have the same license as the person who delegated it.

Standard ACL's still apply!

Setting someone as a delegate doesn't give them all their access, just approvals.

If they don't have an approval license, I'm pretty sure that is non-compliant, but it will probably never get audited.
