How to read ServiceNow Capability Map

Hi,

I have a hard time to connect ServiceNow Capability Map with workflows ServiceNow once categorize the products.

How would you present to the management team with the capability map? From what i see, these are product suites and products rather than the capability list (capability usually refers to the value product enables). 

In addition, is "Platform core" and "NOW platform" the same thing?
