We are discussing making the switch from Zing to AI Search, and there has been some concern about system performance. I understand that during the indexing process we may see some degradation, but we can schedule this for downtime, and I'm not that concerned about it. What I am concerned about is the actual response time of the searches themselves.
For any of you who have made the switch, I get that the results are generally better, and people may be able to find what they're looking for quicker, but how are the response times of the searches? Are they noticeably slower?
Thank you,
-John

We didn't observe any meaningful difference in search speed after moving from Zing to AI Search a few years ago. It's a remarkably better user experience -- go for it!

Hi John,
We didn't notice any difference in search. You might be over thinking this. AI Search has been around for awhile now and ServiceNow has some really big customers. I would think if there was a performance hit, people would know. Also they've would've fixed it anyway.
We switched over at the same time we went to employee center. Our end users really liked both improvements. Better look and search results are way better. Just go for it.
