Where do the on-prem instance glide files need to be installed?

Good evening,

We're installing an on-prem instance of ServiceNow Kingston. I'm running into a little bit of confusion when reviewing the SNOW HI documentation (KB article).

I'm configured on a VM running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.9 but now I'm at the step where I'm deploying the application nodes. I'm not sure what I misunderstood, but I ended up installing the application nodes at root level in a /glide/nodes/ folder. Is this correct or should this be installed in /home/<user>/glide/nodes/?

Thanks!

That is the very KB article I'm referring to in my original question. I'm asking for specific clarification around step 5 under "Installing ServiceNow Instances". Thanks!

I am surprised that there is no one from ServiceNow assisting you in this. We do have a dedicated team to support customers like you in the initial installation. I would believe this is a absolute requirement before going on premise. Otherwise you will end up in trouble sooner or later for sure.

I agree. If my question isn't clear enough, I would hope someone would let me know and I could provide clarification where needed.
